Coorong NP & Fleurieu Peninsula

25th till 30th October 2012

After crossing the border from VIC to SA, we had a night in Robe and continued, via Kingston SE to see Larry the Lobster, to Coorong National Park. Even though it was another windy day, we enjoyed the park and also had a little fellow visit us - a Blue-tongue-lizard.
From there we drove over Wellington with the car ferry over Murray River to Victor Harbor. We enjoyed the walk to Granite Island, which is often done by Horse-drawn-tram! On the way out of town, Silvan got pulled over for speeding. The Police Officer asked for the reason, obviously none - but we managed to get away as I had a map on my lap and he let Silvan off with a warning - nice man! From there further to Newland Head Conservation Park - Waitpinga Beach - which is a windy place (once again) where we watched a beautiful sunset and had the campground for ourselves. Next stop was Deep Creek Conservation Park before taking the ferry to Kangaroo Island the following day.
