Adelaide & Surroundings

7th till 15th November 2012

After spending some beautiful days at Deep Creek Conservation Park, we headed towards Adelaide. We went to McLaren Vale to try some wines and enjoy the green of the vineyards as South Australia otherwise is very dry. Silvan also managed to go for a surf in Adelaide before a storm came up!

We spent a couple of hours in the city, but were glad to head a bit out of the centre and enjoy some great days with Chris and Nicole in their new home. On the weekend we headed to Mount Lofty lookout and further to Barossa Valley, again enjoying some wines and cheese. In Adelaide you can drive your car onto some beaches, and of course we tried it with Chris' new Territory!
Driving further north, we got to Clare Valley which is also a fantastic wine region, a lot smaller than Barossa Valley. We enjoyed a walk that took as to a lookout over the lower Flinders Ranges, and on the return walk Silvan saw an Eastern Brown Snake that rushed away!
