Mimosa Rocks & Bournda National Park

17th till 24th September 2012

After Canberra and a few days in South Durras to recharge all our equipment, wash our clothes and have a long warm shower, we were heading further south. Our next stop was the Mimosa National Park. Only basic facilities, means no shower, water or power. Only nature and free fire wood. Most beautiful camp site so far - hearing the waves and birds and beautiful sunshine as well as relaxing and walking along the beach! After these 2 gorgeous days we stopped in Tathra for a coffee and surf.

With a strong need for a shower we drove to Bournda National Park where the facilities are luxurious - warm showers and rainwater. We did a long bush walk where Sarah nearly stepped on a red-belly black snake. We also had to wade through a river as the walking track was flooded - we only saw the sign after we returned!!

This was the walking track... so shoes off and pants up!
